2472439 Alberta Ltd. O/A Redswan Pizza has an immediate opening for a Cook (NOC: 63200) experienced at our location in Lloydminster, AB.

As a Cook (NOC: 63200) you will perform some or all of the following duties:

• Setup workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
•  Perform food preparation and meal assembly as needed, maintaining food safety standards
• Greet guests, take orders, and serve food and beverages with excellent customer service.
• Restock supplies, monitor inventory, and support opening and closing duties.
• Prepare and cook special meals as per the instructions
• Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting, meat, etc.)
• Check food while cooking and oversee kitchen operations
• Organize and help workers in kitchen.
• Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served.
•   Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
• Check the quality of ingredients. 
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and provide excellent customer service
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food preparation and serving areas.
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
• Oversee, train and schedule kitchen helpers
• Plan menus, determine the size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies

Qualifications:

• Completion of secondary school is usually required.
• Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program for cooks or Completion of college or other programs in cooking or 1 to 2 years of commercial cooking experience is required.
•  Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor to engage with guests effectively
• Team-oriented mindset with a focus on providing excellent customer experiences
• Proven analytical skills with the ability to tackle problems systematically to diagnose issues and produce effective recommendations;
• Multi-tasker, attention to detail, and effective time management.

Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time (35-40 hours/week)

Compensation: CA $18.50/hour
