Position

• Job Title: Production Manager
• Department: Bakery
• Reporting to: Franchisee / Bakery Manager

Job Duties

• Measure, mix, knead and shape dough and other bakery products according to established recipes and quality standards
• Operate and monitor commercial bakery equipment, including ovens, adjusting temperatures and timing as required
• Develop and follow daily production and dough schedules to ensure products are available on time
• Conduct regular quality checks on baked goods for appearance, texture, and taste
• Train, supervise and schedule production/bakery staff, including onboarding and skills development
• Assist with performance management of bakery production staff
• Order and manage bakery ingredient inventory; complete daily production records and monthly stock counts
• Monitor and help control production costs and wastage targets
• Ensure adherence to food safety, sanitation and occupational health and safety standards
• Liaise with the Franchisee/Bakery Manager on production levels, staffing needs and customer feedback

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a bakery production or supervisory role
• Experience with training and staff management
• Experience with inventory/stock control
• Food Safety certification (Level 1)
• BDQ Certification is an asset
• English language proficiency
