Shig’s Enterprises Limited is looking for a permanent full-time cook at our Japanese grocery store, Fujiya Japanese Foods.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook Japanese meals for bento (boxed meals), deli menus, and other catering menus
- Plan and create new menus and ensure food meets quality standards
- Instruct kitchen staff in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work area
Education, skills and experience required:
- Completion of secondary school
- Several years of experience of food preparation in commercial environment
Language: English
Compensation: $23.00/hour, 40 hrs/week, 10 days paid vacation
